  • On 14th December, 2012 Commandant Yerima Gana took over as the new State Commandant from the ACG Alhassan Audu Akor.
  • Officers and Men of the Corps were deployed to the nook and Crannies of Kwara State on 1st January, 2013 to maintain peace and order throughout the festive period.
  • The Joint Paramilitary Christian Fellowship, Kwara State Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant for annual prayer meeting on 14th January, 2013.
  • On 18th January, 2013 Officers and Men of the NSCDC Kwara Command led by the Commandant (Yerima Gana) participated in the first morning jogging exercise in order to keep the body fit both physically and mentally. He therefore encouraged the Corps to carry on the exercise fortnightly.
  • Commandant Yerima Gana on 1st February, 2013 joined other Security Service Chiefs in Kwara State on fact finding trip to Offa and Erin-Ile following the communal clash between the two towns.
  • The Corps paraded four suspects who allegedly stole motorcycles, Black Berry phones and involvement in house robbery before the press.
  • The Assistant Command of Corps (ACC) Hammed Abodunrin represented the State Commandant at the programme of Advocacy Awareness on HIV/AIDS organized by the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at their State Headquarters, Ilorin on 14th February, 2013.
  • 0n 19th April, 2013 the NSCDC became a member of the Joint patrol in Ilorin and its Environs; the exercise is aimed at curbing criminal activities and maintaining law and order within the State.
  • Officers and men of the Corps were deployed across the State on 27th April, 2013 to provide security and to monitor the UTME/JAMB Examination exercise throughout the various centers in the state.
